Le Bastion
Frenchriviera
Le Bastion in Antibes is a port-of-call on the French Riviera characterised by contemporary design and a menu with an eye on distant lands. A wonderful place for a working lunch, romantic dinner or a lazy Sunday brunch. Reservations recommended.
In the lounge bar, restaurant area and on the terrace with its view of the Cap d'Antibes, Le Bastion proposes inventive cuisine signed by Michael Bazile (formerly second-chef to Christian Morriset at the 2-star Juana) which takes a fresh look at multi-horizon gastronomy. At the foot of the ramparts in the Old Town of Antibes, explore a world of refined taste with a chic, cosmopolitan accent.
The Menu is extremely reasonable considering the quality of the cuisine and its prime location in Antibes with some of the most stunning views on the French Riviera. The dishes are perfectly balanced between fresh delicate flavours that work so well together and taste fantastic.
At Lunch, the ‘Bistrot’ Carte proposes traditional or exotic dishes at low prices, still with the same products’ freshness and quality.
You can have French, Italian or Japanese themed tapas in the lounge or a full menu in the restaurant. Each dish originates from a different city, many within France but some as far afield as India and Shanghai. The staff are incredibly helpful and will explain anything on the menu you don't understand. The variety makes it a really good choice for a special occasion or dinner party with friends.
All the dishes are beautifully presented and the flavours are superb. Le Bastion is a restaurant well worth a visit in Antibes, not just for the food but also the fabulous setting, stunning decor, great cooking, friendly welcome and romantic atmosphere.
