Fenocchio
Frenchriviera
Fenocchio is an infamous family-run ice cream parlour in Nice with two shops in the city. The ice creams and sorbets are made locally and come in all flavours and colours from the traditional to the weird and wonderful!
The famous ice cream shop opened in the Old Town of Nice in 1966 and has been operated by the same family ever since. All the ice creams and sorbets, of which there are almost 100 flavours, are made at the family factory in Nice with locally sourced produce.
My Riviera Info vote Lavender as their favourite, a real traditional taste of the South of France! Although, you can pretty much get any flavour you like, including bubblegum, cookies, tomato and basil, olive and the classic Italian selections.
One scoop or two, it's a real must when visiting the Old Town and if you can make it last until you get to the Promenade des Anglais you can find a seat one of the benches and enjoy your ice-cream with some of the best views of the Mediterranean. Open from 9am to midnight, you could always go for dessert and a midnight stroll along the beach!
