Description

This is a private day trip from Nice to Saint-Honorat Island, ideal for those seeking peace and historic spirituality. The island has remained largely unchanged for over 1,600 years, with natural sounds and distant monks’ chants enhancing the quiet atmosphere.

Your trip is fully organized, including hotel pick-up, ferry crossing, and return journey. On arrival, you can explore the island at your own pace, wandering through pine forests, visiting the church, and viewing the exterior of the Fortified Monastery, which is under restoration until June 2026.

Between June and July, resident monks may offer free guided walks based on their schedule, although this cannot be guaranteed.

Monastic Traditions and Local Products

Monks produce wine and other goods by hand. While there are no formal wine tours, you can visit the island boutique to purchase “Vins de l’Abbaye” or enjoy a self-paced tasting by the glass.

The island’s only restaurant, La Tonnelle, serves high-quality meals with sea views. Table reservation is available on request but lunch is not included in the package.
