The Cinema Mercury in Nice shows dozens of newly released films every week, many of which are shown in English.
You don't find the comfort you might come to expect from a movie theatre in the UK or USA but visits to the cinema are probably not something you might do as regularly as you would back home.
The cinema shows many different types of films, from American blockbusters to contemporary art and non-fictional essay films - some of which you wouldn't normally find in this part of the world.
Most of the films are shown in their original version and dubbed in French as opposed to sub-titled movies shown at other cinemas.
Cinema Mercury has probably the largest selection of movies shown in English on the whole of the Riviera. Especially in winter time when frankly some of the cinemas are only showing one movie per week in English.
They generally keep very up to date and it's in a good central location for public transport and taxis at night.
