You may not associate the French Riviera with skiing and other winter sports activities but you'd be surprised at how close you are to both sunny beaches and a vast number of slopes all within an hour or so of Nice Cote d'Azur Airport.

The fact that the French Riviera is so close to the many ski resorts in Mercantour National Park makes it the perfect year-round destination. In addition, you can rent all your equipment when arriving so it's easy to divide your time between the coast and the slopes. There is also a handy bus service from the airport to the ski stations.
