Les Grottes de St Cezaire
Frenchriviera
The limestone caves at Saint Cezaire are more than 6 million years old. Discovered in 1890, these diverse caves are well known for their exquisite and extraordinary red colouration.
These subterranean caves are a magical experience and well worth the visit. All visits are guided and the tour will take around 40 minutes - a cooling break from the scorching sun as the caves maintain a constant temperature of 14 degrees centigrade all year long.
The caves are situated 15 minutes NW of Grasse on the D13 and free parking is available. As the caves are so near to Grasse it is a good idea to perhaps visit bustling and vibrant Grasse in the morning and then head for cooling sanctuary of the caves after lunch.
Entrance will cost 6 Euro for adults and 3 Euro for children.
Throughout the summer months the caves will be open all day from 10h - 1830h. During the winter months the caves are only open in the afternoons from 1430h - 1730h.
