Le Cesar Restaurant
Frenchriviera
Restaurant Le Cesar is a delightful traditional southern French restaurant and bar in a perfect location right on the Port in Frejus, serving fresh seafood, pastas and meats and a regional wine list. See the lunch Menu attached for their daily seasonal specialties.
Of course if you just want to have coffee or a drink and watch the world go by you can, and it's a great place to do so, right on the Quay in a cleaner, classier and quieter part of the French Riviera. It is also a nice place to meet friends for a drink and watch the yachts from their sun-drenched terrace.
Restaurant Le Cesar creates elaborate and traditional platters of Fruits de Mer (oysters, crab, lobster, sea snails, mussels, periwinkles, clams, prawns and shrimps) on lashings of crushed ice. If the raw seafood doesn't float your boat then why not try the fresh Langoustines and Lobsters in a tank ready to be prepared for you and served grilled with a Beurre Blanc sauce or many of the Fish dishes served 'a la plancha' simply grilled with butter and herbs and served with a wedge of lemon. Absolutely delicious and a true taste of the Mediterranean.
Don't panic if you're not a fan of fish and seafood there are plenty of their options. The pastas are made daily and served with fresh sauces made from local produce and all meats and steaks are grilled and served with seasonal vegetables, rice or oven roasted potatoes.
Restaurant Le Cesar is easy to find as you meander around the Port, located on the Eastern side near the Latin Quarter and even easier to while away many hours enjoying the local wines and soaking up the Riviera sunshine.
The service is also very good here, something that can be lacking in some restaurants in this area but fortunately hasn't affected Le Cesar.
The restaurant also provides a good view of the summertime fireworks every Friday evening in Frejus throughout July and August.
