The Virgin Megastore on Rue Jean Medecin is a great store to browse around for CDs, DVDs, stationery, video games, T shirts and books. As well as language courses and photography aides.
Spread over four floors and located above the bank, the Virgin store is methodically laid out to make it easy for you to find what you need. There are enormous selections of music and films to choose from in English and in French. The DVD covers are all in French but you'll find that most of them are the originals in English with the option to change the language on the Menu.
The stationery department is probably the largest I've seen in Nice and has a fantastic selection if you're like me and you can't help but buy pretty coloured pens and notebooks.
On the top floor there is a lounge where they have several TV screens playing music videos and a small art gallery that leads through to a reasonably sized cafe with a great bay window over looking the road and all the passers-by. Also a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Virgin is worth a look if you're passing by, whether you live in the Riviera or you're just on holiday.

I recommend parking in Nice Etoile car park as it's just across the road and easy to find.
